Event Details
This 4-day residential workshop offers a hands-on experience of Holotropic Breathwork®, which enables participants to engage in self-healing and self-exploration. Holotropic Breathwork®, is a path of self-discovery and inner growth. Developed by psychiatrist Stanislav Grof, a world reference in Transpersonal Psychology, and his wife Christina Grof, from the result of extensive clinical research in psychiatric and psychotherapeutic contexts. Through intensified breathing and evocative music, an altered state of consciousness is reached, which takes you on a journey into your inner being. It also provides an opportunity to delve into the underlying causes of emotional and psychosomatic challenges that individuals may be facing.
Throughout the workshop, participants will engage in four breathwork sessions, two as a breather and two as a sitter. These sessions will take place in a very safe and supported environment and aims to facilitate an expanded state of consciousness. This enhanced state of awareness will enable individuals to tap into their own healing wisdom and transformative abilities. This healing intelligence directs the experience towards the elements that have an emotional intensity that are ready to be processed and integrated.
No prior knowledge is necessary. The workshop will be held in English.

Schedule
Arrival is between 4pm and 7pm on Thursday 10 October, and close on Sunday 13, in the afternoon around 2 pm.
Thursday : 7:30pm - 9:30pm: opening circle, introduction & preparation
Friday : 9:00am - 7:00pm: breathwork sessions
Saturday : 9:00am - 7:00pm: breathwork sessions
Sunday : 9:00am - 1:00pm: integration, going home instructions & closing circle
The number of participants is limited to 12 people. All participants agree to stay for the whole workshop (Thursday until Sunday); we do not offer an option for partial participation.

Venue
Quinta das Broas is located on the top of a small village in Sintra, behind the house there are no neighbours, and the land extends to a beautiful natural park. The venue is located only 30/45km from Lisbon, and 12km from the village of Sintra.

Travel Details
By Airplane:
Book a flight to Lisbon Airport. Rent a car there for the whole duration of the workshop or take a taxi/Uber to the venue (cost approx. €30). A train can also be taken to Sintra village and then a taxi/Uber to the venue. (cost approx. €15-€20).
By Car:
It takes roughly 40 minutes to get there by car from the airport, or roughly 20 minutes by car from Sintra train station.
By public transport:
Take a metro from Lisbon Airport to Oriente station, and from here take a train to Sintra (travel time 1 hr). Then take a taxi/Uber to the venue.

In-group car sharing:
Car sharing within the group of participants is usually also an option. We will facilitate/coordinate these 3 - 4 weeks before the event takes place.

Payment
The payment is to be done in advance via bank transfer (payment instructions upon registration).
Included in the price of €450, are the workshop fee and full-board shared accommodation (3 nights).
Cancellation
Cancellation Policy
The registration fee is 50 EUR
This will be subtracted from the sum being refunded if your application is cancelled at any time.
- cancellation more than 30 days before the workshop date: full refund
- cancellation 15 - 30 days before the workshop date: 75% refund
- cancellation 1 - 14 days before the workshop date: 50% refund
In case of a cancellation for reasons on the side of the organizer, a full refund will be issued.
Important: The organisation will not take responsibilities for any additional expenses the cancellation may cause to the participant, for example, travel expenses (flight tickets, car rental, etc.)
