About Cacao-ceremony

Cacao has been used ritually in ceremonies for thousands of years in the indigenous cultures of Mesoamerica. The intention of our cacao-ceremony is to create a safe space where you explore yourself and enjoy the full spectrum of the wonders of human life. With delicious ceremonial-cacao we can softly start to listen more deeply ourselves. We can meet others with authenticity and feel the community. We can dance, sing or just enjoy the beautiful music. We can be ourselves. The facilitators of the cacao-ceremony are Aliisa from Maa-Ilma-tantra and Magdalena and Saara from Myötävärähtely. They have been holding cacao-ceremonies in Turku since 2019.

The Cacao for this ceremony comes from the Tz’utujil tribe in Guatemala, a branch of the Maya Qui-che tribe. We will donate a portion of the profit to Nana Marina Cruz, a healer who is one of the spiritual leaders of the tribe and is one of the producers of this cacao. We want to give back to their community, as bearers of the tradition of wisdom in cacao ceremonies, so that Mayan culture, language, and ancient knowledge are preserved.

NB! Please report to us if you are pregnant, if you take SSRI medication or if you have heart disease, so that we can provide a replacement drink

About Holotropic Breathwork

Holotropic Breathwork is a powerful method for self-exploration and therapy. It uses enhanced breathing and evocative music to create holotropic states of consciousness, which can be very healing, transformative and informative. Holotropic Breathwork is a self-empowering technique, where you can learn to let go and connect to your Inner healing wisdom. The intention is to create safe and open space where every participant can dive as deep within as is needed or as what feels right. The general strategy in the session is to follow whatever is happening spontaneously and expressing it in a way it wants to be expressed. At any moment and for any reason you can ask facilitators to support your process. They can also do energy releasing bodywork to help the session to move on. Holotropic Breathwork was created by Stan and Christina Grof as an alternative for therapy with psychedelics in the 1970's. The holotropic facilitators of this retreat are Valde and Jussi (the founders of Holotropic Breathwork Finland ry) and Rachel (Holotropic practitioner in Berlin)
