The Holotropic Association Europe is a voluntary network of facilitators who share a deep commitment to Holotropic Breathwork and the work in expanded states of consciousness. We are connected through our certification with Grof Transpersonal Training® and through shared values: respect for the inner healing intelligence of the psyche, care for safe and ethical practice, and a lived understanding of the transformative potential of Holotropic Breathwork. The Holotropic Association is not a governing body or a commercial organization. It exists to support connection, transparency, and collaboration among practitioners—and to make it easier for people interested in Holotropic Breathwork to find qualified facilitators and trustworthy information.
We are a network of GTT-certified Holotropic Breathwork facilitators working across Europe (including Turkey and Russia). Membership in the Association is voluntary and open to anyone who has completed certification with Grof Transpersonal Training® and wishes to stay connected with the wider European field. Each facilitator brings their own background, experience, and cultural context, while sharing a common foundation in the principles and ethical standards of Grof Transpersonal Training. What connects us is not uniformity, but a shared commitment to the work and to ongoing learning.
At its heart, the Holotropic Association Europe exists to strengthen relationships—between facilitators, between regions, and between individual practice and the wider field. We are intentionally growing from a loose network into a community of shared practice: a space where facilitators can exchange experience, support one another, reflect together on challenges, and continue to deepen their understanding of this work. We also see the Association as a bridge—between countries, languages, and traditions—supporting international teams and cross-border collaboration whenever possible.
Our work is rooted in a deep respect for the inner healing intelligence of each person and for the sensitivity required when working in expanded states of consciousness. We value presence over technique, listening over interpretation, and support over control. We are committed to ethical practice, ongoing self-reflection, and humility in the face of processes that are often larger than our individual understanding.
As a community, we value cooperation rather than competition, diversity rather than uniformity, and learning together rather than positioning ourselves as experts. We understand ourselves as a non-hierarchical, voluntary network, where participation arises from commitment and shared values rather than obligation or authority. These values guide how we work with participants, with each other, and with the wider field of Holotropic Breathwork.
We care deeply about quality, safety, and integrity in the practice of Holotropic Breathwork. All facilitators listed within the Association have completed the full Grof Transpersonal Training certification process and commit to:
- working according to GTT standards and ethical guidelines
- ongoing professional and personal development
- offering workshops in team settings whenever possible
- creating safe, respectful, and well-held spaces for participants
These commitments are not formalities; they arise from lived experience with the power and sensitivity of work in expanded states of consciousness.
This website is a shared platform for people who are new to Holotropic Breathwork and seeking reliable information, participants looking for qualified facilitators and workshops professionals interested in Grof Transpersonal Training® modules, lectures, and events in Transpersonal Psychology, facilitators who wish to stay connected within the European field.

We envision Holotropic Breathwork being accessible to those who feel called to it—while remaining grounded in careful training, ethical awareness, and respect for individual processes.
We believe healing happens not only on an individual level, but also collectively. By working across borders and cultures, and by holding workshops in international constellations, we create spaces where people can experience both their uniqueness and their shared humanity.
The Holotropic Association Europe is one small but meaningful part of that larger movement—supporting breath, presence, and connection, one workshop, one collaboration, one shared conversation at a time.
Consciousness does not just passively reflect the objective material world; it plays an active role in creating reality itself.- Stan Grof
