Double Holotropic Breathwork -retreat in Turku, Finland 9.-12.6.
Welcome to dive deep within! Holotropic Breathwork is a powerful method for self-exploration, which utilizes the healing power of breath, music, bodywork and safe space. This retreat is a great opportunity to explore the method in-depth, since there will be altogether 4 breathwork sessions, in which each participant will be breathing in two and sitting in two. On Thursday we will land softly to the place and to ourselves, meet the group and start preparing us for the inner journeys. On Friday and Saturday there will be two breathing sessions. On Sunday we will have time and space to be with our inner processes and we will offer some techniques and tips for integration.
Retreat takes place in Konsan Kartano (Virusmäentie 9, 20300 Turku), on the outskirts of Turku, with easy bus connection and walking distance from Turku center. Lunch and dinner are included on Friday and Saturday, there will also be plenty of snacks and tea/coffee during the whole retreat. There is a possibility to sleep on the floor of the breathing room (costs 35€, including breakfast), but you can also sleep elsewhere, just make sure you can participate within the retreat schedule. For example B&B Tuure offers quite cheap rooms and it's just 1km away from the venue (www.tuure.fi/en/). If you need any help with traveling to and in Finland or finding accommodation, just be in contact.
There is space for 10 participants. No previous experience of Holotropic Breathwork is required. We will use english and finnish, depending on the language of the participants. Translation is provided if needed. We are happy to have Rachel from Belgium as our guest facilitator.
Facilitators of the retreat
Valde Orrenmaa
Valde lives in Kaarina, in a commune with his friends and cats. He started the Holotropic Breathwork training in 2016 and got certified in 2019. He has a masters degree in comparative religion and has been academically and practically interested in non-ordinary states of consciousness, meditation, psychedelics, buddhism and other mystically oriented branches of religions. He is also a writer, Aguahara-practitioner and has just started Cognitive short-therapy training. One of his passions is to integrate yogic-lifestyle into the modern society. He loves meditation, biking in the forest, playing piano and genuine connection with other beings.
Rachel Bongartz
Born and raised in Belgium, experienced Holotropic Breathwork for the first time in 2005 and from then on it has become an important part of her life. She studied Clinical Psychology and later Transpersonal Psychology and Consciousness Studies. In August 2016, she accomplished the Grof Transpersonal Training and became a facilitator in Holotropic Breathwork. Self-awareness and spiritual growth is very important to her. She is a passionate 5 Rhythms dancer and she has experienced that expanded holotropic states of consciousness carry the potential for healing and self-fulfilment.

The purpose of the Medical form is to survey your relevant background information and possible contraindications for the retreat. This helps us to ensure that you can participate safely in the retreat. If you answer yes to some questions, it doesn't automatically mean you cannot participate; we will evaluate the situation together with you. If any question is unclear to you, ask us for clarification.
We will interview all the new participants through zoom 1-2 weeks before the event. The interview is also a good opportunity to ask questions or express any thoughts regarding the retreat. If you have been participating in our events, but would like to have a call with us, or if in your life there are some new themes we should be aware of, be in contact.
2. Pay the Deposit fee (50€) or the whole payment of the retreat
Your place will be confirmed after you have filled the registration and medical forms and paid the deposit fee or the whole payment of the retreat. After we have got your payment, we will send you a confirmation email. If you pay just the deposit fee, you need to pay the rest of the payment latest in registration, where you can pay with cash or mobilepay. If you choose to sleep in the venue, you can pay for it with cash/mobilepay during registration (35€) (you can decide this latest during the registration). If the retreat gets full, there will be a waiting list.

If you have any problems with the payments or you would like to participate but your financial situation doesn’t allow it, just contact us so we can try to find a good solution.
Deposit- / cancellation fee 50€
If you need for some reason to cancel your participation in the retreat, we will refund your payment fully if the cancellation is done before 1.6. If the cancellation is done after that, we will keep the reservation fee.
Because in the breathing-sessions there can be sometimes strong emotional and physical experiences, for safety reasons it is not generally recommended for pregnant women, people with heart-problems and very high blood pressure, with strong psychiatric illnesses, with ongoing spiritual emergency, with recent fractures or surgical operations, with acute infections or epileptics.
