Double Holotropic Breathwork at Hyakujōgan Zendo, Austria (January)

15 Jan 2026 to 18 Jan 2026 Workshops

Close to Vienna. A journey into deep inner work, embraced by magical stillness – devoted to letting go and awakening inner clarity.

German text below.

In the Hohe Wand Nature Park, we find ourselves in a peaceful and insightful environment that encourages discoveries. The house that hosts us radiates a calm and steady energy, reminiscent of Zen. It is named “Hyakujōgan”, drawing inspiration from a legend about a Zen monk who released his fixed ideas while standing on a high cliff—echoing the wordplay with Hyakujō and the fox. This name embodies a guiding principle: as we ascend, conceptual thinking diminishes, allowing us to experience the essence of presence.

Double Breathwork is a recognized format for profound, transformative experiences. Through improvised, accelerated breathing while alternating between the roles of Breather and Sitter (inspired by Stanislav and Christina Grof’s methods), participants can access expanded consciousness, where unconscious material, body intelligence, and inner wisdom can emerge.

Holotropic Breathwork (Grof® Breathwork) goes beyond a simple breathing technique; it integrates accelerated breathing, evocative music, group dynamics, and integration methods (such as creative expression and sharing), which facilitate access to deep transpersonal and archetypal dimensions.

At Hyakujōgan, old structures can dissipate, leading to a sense of clarity—supported by the tranquil nature surrounding us and the peaceful atmosphere of the house. This space encourages us to let go, fostering a sense of inner order and inviting exploration of what exists beyond familiar concepts.

We will begin on Thursday at 5PM with registration and conclude on Sunday at 1PM with a group lunch. The detailed schedule will be shared soon.

The workshop will be conducted in both German and English, with translations provided as needed.

_______________
