This module will be lead by Diane Haug, M.A., LPCC who is a licensed therapist and senior member of the Grof Transpersonal Training staff. Having completed the Grof’s first three-year training program, Diane has been involved with the international Holotropic Breathwork community since 1986. She has developed GTT training modules including: 'Shamanism: An Exploration of Traditional Wisdom,' 'The Art and Practice of Integrating Deep Inner Experience,' 'Living with Dying,' and 'The Psychedelic Experience: Promises and Perils.' Diane is an instructor with the new Center for Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research at the California Institute of Integral Studies and helped staff the MAPS program in MDMA-Assisted PTSD Therapy Training Program in March / April 2017.
The Psychedelic Experience: Promises & Perils
The pioneering clinical work and research of Stanislav Grof, MD, is currently informing a new generation of psychedelic researchers and therapists who are again examining the enhanced wellness, healing, creativity, and spirituality inherent in the psychedelic experience. Potential applications of psychedelic therapy include the treatment of depression, PTSD, addiction, and end-of-life care.
During this retreat we will explore topics including:
- the time-honored, cross-cultural use of psychoactive substances
- the early pioneers of psychedelic therapy
- the healing potential and perils of working with strong psychoactive catalysts
- the integration of strong non-ordinary experiences
- guidance for supporting others in a substance-related crisis
- government supported research worldwide
Holotropic Breathwork™, developed by Stanislav and Christina Grof, as our experiential vehicle for the week, has offered thousands of people all around the world the opportunity to experience the healing potential of non-ordinary states of consciousness without the aid of psychoactive substances. The topic of psychedelics will be entirely theoretical.
This module is a part of the education for Holotropic Breathwork™ facilitators, but it is an open format, so you are welcome, no matter if you come for professional growth or personal motivations.
During the week, you will have a chance to experience transformative and healing potential of enhanced states of consciousness through four sessions of Holotropic Breathwork.

Module will take place at Hotel Šport in Otočec ob Krki, Slovenia,
surrounded by beautiful nature, about 40 min drive from Zagreb or Ljubljana.

50 € of your payment for the workshop is a non-refundable processing fee. The balance is refundable upon cancellation until September 15.
