The World Within - Jung's Red Book 17 - 22 November 2019

“Recollection of the outward events of my life has largely faded or disappeared. But my encounters with the ‘other’ reality, my bouts with the unconscious, are indelibly engraved upon my memory.”

(C.G. Jung (1961): Memories, Dreams, Reflections)

Red Book Castle

This retreat will be an exciting, creative journey into The Red Book and Carl Jung's world of   archetypes, dreams, myths, shadows, symbols, alchemy, individuation, and astrology.

The Red Book, presented for the first time in late 2009, was considered by some "the most     influential unpublished work in the history of psychology".

This masterpiece captured an extended period in Jung’s life - a time of deep self-exploration     described by Jung as  “a confrontation with the unconscious”.

The focus of the retreat will include the following:

  1. An overview of Carl Jung's seminal contributions to psychology
  2. the power and significance of Jung's own "spiritual emergency"
  3. and deep personal exploration using a variety of experiential modalities including Holotropic Breathwork™, Jung's active imagination, writing, art, dream work, film, meditation, and movement.

This retreat will be enriching for anyone wishing to explore their inner lives in a safe and nourishing setting, as well as those interested in bringing a Jungian perspective into their everyday lives. This will be a wonderful opportunity to have a personal, embodied experience of Jung's most groundbreaking contributions. The retreat will provide the ‘alchemical vessel’ for one’s own exploration, integration, and growth.
