A workshop on Trauma and Healing with Jean Farrell

This largly experiential and interactive workshop will focus on the following aspects of trauma healing:

  • The impact of trauma on psychological, physical and emotional well-being
  • Strategies we develop for “survival” – effective or not?
  • Potential and strategies for integration, wholeness and healing, in particular the role of Holotropic Breathwork
  • The Power of Presence
  • Links to the perinatal

Lecturer Information

Jean

Jean Farrell is GTT Facilitator and Trainer.
Born in England, Jean has lived in Ireland for thirty years with her husband and the children and young people they have fostered. In England she worked as a senior lecturer in Youth and Community Work, teaching Counseling Skills and Group Work at Manchester Metropolitan University. In Ireland she works as a psychotherapist and offers supervision to therapists in various agencies working with trauma. She also teaches Counseling and Therapeutic Skills for the National University of Ireland.
She is passionate about Grof Holotropic Breathwork and certified as a Holotropic Breathwork Facilitator in 1996. Since then she offers residential workshops every month in a small centre at her home. She has been working with Grof Training and in workshops all over Europe.

Thomas Liska

Peter Köllerer

Sonja Busch

Sonja works as supervisor supporting professionals in the psychosocial field. Specialized in trauma supervision she has a broad background in working in the areas of gender based violence, trafficking in persons, sexual abuse, unaccompanied minor refugees, street children etc. in Austria and abroad, especially in (post-) conflict countries. Paul McCormack

Paul has been facilitating Holotropic Breathwork since the early 1990's and has run workshops all over the world in addition to here in Ireland. Price

Early bird price for the workshop in Peace Castle Schlaing is € 500,- (registration and payment before 2nd October 2017). When registering after 2nd October 2017 the price is € 620,-. This includes the workshop with lectures, 4 breathworks and two plentifull coffee breaks every day.

Hotel accommodation in Hotel Peace Castle Schlaining (http://www.hotel.friedensburg.at/) including full board costs € 58,- for a double and € 70,- for a single room per person and night and will be paid directly with the hotel. When registering please state which kind of room you wish and be aware that there is only a limited number of single rooms available.

Cancellation Policy

The cancellation fee is € 50,- any time you cancel the workshop.

If you cancel the workshop within 30 days before the start, the whole workshop amount will not be refunded, but after deducting the € 50,- cancellation fee it could be applied to any other workshop or Module during the following 4 years (with Holotropic Association Europe).

If you cancel the workshop more than 30 days in advance the total amount (minus the 50 Euro cancellation fee) will be refunded.

From Vienna airport a direct bus goes five times a day to Pinggau (half an hour from Peace Castle Schlaining). For those arriving to Vienna a day before the starting day we will try to assist in arranging car sharing opportunities or if this does not work out arrange a transfer possibility from Pinggau to Schlaining. For the return on Sunday we can organize a transfer to Pinggau bus station after the closure of the workshop for the busses departing at 13:50 and 16:40.

The other possibility is to go from Vienna airport to Vienna center and take the bus from Vienna Center (Karlsplatz or Matzleinsdorfer Platz/Triester Strasse) to Oberwart, which is ten minutes from Schlaining.

Public transport by bus from Vienna City Center

is available regulary from Vienna and Graz to Oberwart (10 min from Schlaining). Also here we try to organize a transfer to Schlaining or you can take a taxi.
